What Do CUUPS Members Believe?
Our chapter has members from a wide variety of backgrounds and beliefs. This includes people with the following:
- Humanist pagan
- Wiccan
- Druid
- Eclectic pagan
We welcome people to our gatherings, regardless of belief. You need not be pagan to attend, but you must be pagan-friendly.
What We Do
We meet as a group to celebrate the 8 solar festivals (sabbats) each year:
- Samhain (around 10/31)
- Yule (around 12/21)
- Imbolc (around 2/1)
- Ostara (around 3/21)
- Beltane (around 5/1)
- Litha (around 6/21)
- Lughnasadh (around 8/1)
- Mabon (around 9/21)
In addition, we meet in between these times as a discussion group. Check the Events Page for more information.
What Can I Expect At a CUUPS Gathering?
Our gatherings to celebrate the festivals will include
- An open-to-all ritual
- A potluck (please bring a dish to share!)
- Drumming at the June and December gatherings
Are Children Welcome?
School-age children are welcome to participate in the rituals; however, they must observe the solemnity of the occasion. Due to safety concerns, children cannot be running around the ritual area.
We do provide child care at our sabbats as an alternative to child participation. If you need childcare, email cuups@c-vuu.org and put “childcare” in the subject line.
